You know when your email address gets out and you start getting a ton of spam? Is it wise to click the unsubscribe link? I believe most of the time they are fishing so they put that link and call it "unsubscribe" when it really should read "Verify this is a valid address to send even more crap to" button.

Never click on an unsubscribe link unless you know the sender, like you want to get off Bed Bath and Beyond emailings after you made an online purchase.

Best to just delete the message. If your email has a spam detector and manual spam selector, (thinking of ThunderBird) click on the SPAM button and it will flag future emails from that address as spam and send them right to the trash.

Yep! Shows how desperate they are for business. No sense in blocking their email addresses because they never send it from the same address twice. All spam reporting sites are useless. The ISP ones and the "do not call" bureau are the most useless.

I've been getting calls on my cell phone lately and that number is no where listed or available to anyone but the few I give it to. I always give companies an old phone number. I never give them my real number.

Zackly! Every night before I turn off my computer I delete all cookies. I can tell when I have them because I have to double click to go back a page.
