Boy came home with a headache he said he had most of the day. He also took a soccerball off the mellon at daycare in the afternoon. He promptly came home and played for a few minutes then said he didn't feel good. Within a half hour I was holding the cold washcloth against his forehead while he hurled.

I checked him for fever, none. Checked his pupils and both are equal and reactive to light so I don't think he has a cuncusion form the soccer ball. He never fell down after the conk on the grape, never lost consiousness either. Maybe he just has a bug and I am overy worried.

Could be food poisoning. What did he eat today?
He said he couldn't remember what he had for lunch, which is not suprising knowing boy, but he had a PB&J at daycare.

But wait, there's more...
Fyi ...

St. Mary's Hospital has that Express Care clinic now -- one in Charlotte Hall and one in Leonardtown.

L-town # is: 301-475-7002 and they are open till 10 p.m. weekdays. Good thing about taking him there is it's not as bad as an ER visit/wait, but if he does need some sort of further eval, you are already at the hospital to get that done.

I've had DQ to the one in Charlotte Hall a couple times when the doctor's office is closed or on weekends and I don't think we were ever in there for more than 45 minutes. :yay: :yay:

How hard off the melon, enough to knock him down? Keep an eye on him for 24-hours might be a slight concussion.

Pete, sounds like he's got a bug to me. Did he throw up and dry heave or just toss his cookies and was done? Will he take jello or broth and keep it down?

I think boy just has a virus too, he hurled twice and went to bed, no fever, was complaining of an earlier headache and was a little outta sorts Pete said yesterday.

He was whacked in the face with a soccer ball and Pete said it barely left a mark on his cheek but sometimes those bruises take over night to show up.

Pete planned on sleeping with him tonight, so I'm sure tomorrow's thread will read "I'm sick too" by Pete. :duh:

I know, I’m all up in boy's business. But boy has a toothbrush at my house, next to my boys.

There are a few nasty viruses running around right now. My youngest and oldest had it last week and my middle one has it today. Starts with a headache then nausea and gets worse from there. I've been keeping plenty of gingerale and chicken broth on hand. Good luck. I hope boy feels better soon.

Boy seems to be ok this morning. He woke up and said he felt better than ever. He never had a fever or the dry heaves he just went in and after a moment or two of "hurl preperation" he blew chunks. I know his head hurt and he went to sleep. I moved him into my room last night and he slept like a rock. I wish I could recover that fast.

I'm sorry to hear that. Like you, when one gets sick all three go down like dominoes. Mine are finally healthy - knock on wood. Hope things get better.

It won't let me give you any more karma yet. :tantrum

He just tossed twice and was done. I didn't push food or drink on him after.

Thats kinda what I was worried about since both happened at the same time. It looks like it was just a fast moving bug.

Thanks. I'm just waiting for my turn. I hope I'm not sick this weekend because it's my youngest sons birthday.

I can't give you any more karma yet either. :tantrum

Have a good day.

It may have been caused by the headache too. The nausea that is. When I get a migraine tossing my cookies always comes with.
