With all do respect, its an opinion piece and the author does not help his case with how he presents it. He sounds like a frothing at the mouth fundie. And yes, I more or less agree with the facts of the article. But one has to make sure they know which are actually facts and which could be embellished in the passion to make the case.

I have to disagree with the last sentence of "welcome to the bottom of the slippery slope". We ain't there yet, and with the creativity of many in mankind, I doubt if we ever will reach the bottom for many.
