Someone should have sought an injunction to stop the tax from going into effect until after the trial. Although I beleve we all know how it will turn out.

It's a Jeep thang!
No wonder Gansler didn't want this Clerk to be questioned! When one party controls all three branches of government, the citizens get screwed.

Clerk was aware of 'backdated' House papers#-#-#The Washington Times, America's Newspaper

Telling passage: So, you were asking for direction from [House Speaker Michael E. Busch's] lawyer? Ans. Uh-huh

What a bunch of crooks!

CWO, I could not get the "kramerslaw.com" link to work..it keeps saying there is an error on the page. I would love to read the entire thing.

How anyone with the intelligence of a pea could not know what the state congress did was wrong, has their head in the sand. This is not about Rep. or Dem. this is about law and the people. If it was the Republicans that did this, I would be just as upset.

I am still trying to figure out a few things:

Erlich: We have balanced the budget, have excess plus a rainy day fund. We will not need to raise taxes anytime soon. (2006)

O'Malley: We are in dire straights we need additional state income, we are so far in the hole, if we dont get taxes passed, we will have to cut budgets everywhere. (2007)

State House: We need taxes so the required programs don't get cut such as schools, etc. (2207)

O'Malley: These additonal taxes will actually have 80% of Marylanders paying less because the state is LOWERING real estate taxes (2007)

St. Mary's County: We are losing income from the state so we need to RAISE the real estate taxes (2007)

State House: We are in such dire straits, we are raising taxes and cutting the school budgets. (2007)

uhmm, I wonder what 2008 and 2009 will bring.
