Why DO PEOPLE SLOW DOWN TO 30 MPH WHEN APPROACHING A SPEED CAMERA WHEN THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55 AND THERE IS A SPEED LIMIT SIGN ON THE CAMERA STATING 55MPH!

I haven't experienced that in my travels, what I have noticed is that they slow to 55 from 75 to 80 mph. Maybe because i have noticed it on 210.

210 by Winegardner speed camera some people slow down to 30-40 MPH why< I assume they have no clue what a speedometer is.

I think the problem is first group of no traffic people over the speed limit hit the brakes to 55 then the others behind them see the brake lights, panic, and automatically jam on theirs causing the slinky (stop and go) or slow downs. Then the traffic jam starts...

The traffic always slows to a crawl or stops around rt. 50 in Maryland and Central Ave.
