If it's what the KIDS want to do, I'd say go for it. It's safe, educational, and can create a passion in an otherwise seemingly passionless child and it gets the entire family involved. There is ALOT of work and preparation that goes into Drag racing that alot of folks don't see.

I have a friend in Georgia (I used to live there) that has all 3 of his kids involved in it, the two oldest being girls. It is a HIGHLY competitive sport that can take up every weekend racing, and weekday evenings working on the cars if you desire.

I do not have any contact info for you though. Your best bet is to go to a meet and speak to the participants about it.

Good Luck
