A 75 year old man was speeding down a Florida Highway in his favorite car, a 68 Corvette. A state trooper running radar attempted to stop him. The man decided to speed up to try to get away. At one point, he was traveling over 120 mph. He then realized that he was too old to be doing this and decided to stop.
The state trooper approached the man and said "You know, it's the last day of my shift and it's also quitting time. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go with a warning."
The man thought about it for a second and responded " Well, officer, my wife left me years ago for a state trooper and I thought you were trying to bring her back."
