Spicket???

Thats what my kids call em" These funny looking things that look like a spider but have legs like a cricket and can jump high. I HATE EM! They scare the #$$ out of everyone and they're everywhere. Anyone have an idea?

I've heard them called cave crickets before. I can rarely kill one...it seems they know when the shoe is about to fall.

I have some around my house and they are called Camel Crickets, might be the same thing because they live where it's cool and dark. They do indeed freak me out.

they are all over the place in florida. they come out night in swarms...right when youre playing night b-ball with your buddies under an outdoor light and land on your head and clothing! they crunch really loud when stepped on too!

I've never in my life heard of or seen camel crickets, spickets or whatever they are. They're pretty gnarly looking. But if they're more cricket than spider, I suppose they're OK. I wouldn't want one crawling across my face, but they're ok.


Camel spiders, now. Those are most definitely not ok.
