Any ideas? I want to get my son involved in something so that he can be with kids his own age. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you take him to the McDonalds or Chick-Fil-A with the playgrounds in them around lunchtime, there is usually a group of kids there. They have a ball playing together...

Karate would probably build him up, teach him discipline, listening skills, etc.

I'm just scared that he'll drop kick his sister when she snatches his toys.
I'll look into it. If anything, it's worth a try. I'll make a few calls to find out the cost and ages. Thanks.

Is he in daycare now? Are there kids his age? Do they do activities, go on field trips? When the weather warms up, just take the kiddos to the park on weekends. It's free and I guarantee they'll be lots of kids.:yay:

My friend's mom is watching them now. He's the oldest there by a year and a half. I plan on taking him to the park. I'm thinking that the discipline of sports would be good for him right now.

Little D played soccer (his mom enrolled him) this past summer. I don't know what discipline you're thinking of. :roflmao: It was pure pandemonium on the field. He ended up hating it though....so the last half of the summer we ended up just going to the field and watching his team play. :jet:

:lmao: I'm looking into the gymnastics and karate now.

Eew. Those things are disgusting.

These aren't the ball pits - they are those tubes and a few slides. They wipe them down. It's really cute to see how quickly kids hit it off and start playing together and then they sit and eat their lunches together, too. I'm sure it's not any dirtier than any park playground, but whatever.

Every time I have taken my kids to McD's or BK their pants or knees have ended up black. The last time my son came down a slide at BK he came down with some other kid's bandaid on his knee. That did it for me. Never again.

Should Wait

I know a little about the Marshal Arts and can say with confidence that unless you 3 yo son is exceptional in focus you would be wasting your money sending him to a Dojo until between the ages of 6 and 8. Then at that age they are a treasure to teach, if they have the desire.
