Springer - PAWS Special Needs Kitty

Springer is a senior kitty who came to PAWS after his owner passed away. Springer suffered from ear mites for an extended period of time resulting in hematoma's inside both ears. He has received treatment but as a result of the long-term ear mite problem, his ears are now crumpled and the tips hang to the front like a Jack Russell terrier. He is tall, long-legged, and handsome with huge green eyes. He is such a love. Pls pass the word around about Springer in case someone has room in their home for a most dignified, good natured, aristocratic gentleman. Thank you.

Springer

in that photo I know he looks like a convict.....or like he has gas or something. It isn't the best photo. He is a love tho and we've got our fingers crossed someone will pop up in the near future for Springer. He has the longest legs I think I've ever seen on a cat. :starcat:

In My Opinion
That picture makes that cat look like something out of a Stephen King novel.
If I could take another cat in, that would be the one.

Might have to wear pampers to bed till I got used to waking up and seeing that look in the dark though.

something will work out tho. it always seems to even tho sometimes it takes a while. ;)
That cat should be adopted pretty quick. Like I said, if not for having two cats, the dog, two turtles a snake and various fish to take care of already, oh, and I have somehow come up with a herd of deer that look for the corn on a daily basis..
anyway, if not for the kennel that I already run here, I would have called for that cat by now.

I was hiking right along with ya til you got to the snake......ewwwwww snakes
How else am I supposed to get rid of the kittens???

Just kidding, its a smallish snake,, maybe 20 inches, California Mountain King. He eats little dead mice that we keep frozen in a small freezer in the basement that no people food is allowed in. Also keep frozen brine shrimp for the fish, and frozen bait during the fishing season... but never will human food be allowed anywhere near that freezer.

snakes aren't my choice of pets but if I see snakes out in the yard, I don't kill them. I let them go on their way. I think I've had just about everything else as a pet, even kept a wounded box turtle for a little over a year til he could fend for himself. I had to buy worms, veggies, and meat just for him.

we have a pond and a water turtle turned up two days ago. we think he has taken up residence. we're waiting for a snake or two to show up, especially when the weather gets drier and hotter.

I got bit three times last year by a water snake that took up residence in my ponds.
Little bastage would hide behind the waterfall and wait for me to stick my hand near it.
Yes, he flew across the yard a couple times.

Yet, it keeps coming back. Sounds like a love/hate relationship. :lmao:

He is quite handsome and looked huge in the crate they had him in. The kittens next to him looked so small in comparison! They were sooo cute!
