Sprinkler/Irrigation systems -- who to call?

Our lawn is larger than either my hubby or I can handle with a simple hose and sprinkler attachment. We'd like to call someone to install an irrigation system, but aren't sure which company to talk to. Has anyone had a good experience with a business that serves St. Mary's County? Thanks!

we put one in ourselves, have 3 acres, with 11 flowerbeds and they aint small.

I think Lowes has a design page that will walk you thru the whole process including what you need to buy. I know Rain Birds website use to let you print out graph paper. Then you would draw your house and plants, trees etc. in, and send it to Rainbird. They will design everything and send it back with a material list and locations of all the heads. They use to do this for free, but now I think they charge $5.00.

Even if a professional designs it, be sure to stay away from easements.

We had on put in a couple of years ago by Atlantic Irrigation. They can be reached at 1-888-771-4070. I have seen several of their trucks in the area over the past few weeks.

once you have it installed make sure to make plans on having it purged around November each year to keep it from freezing and damaging the system during the winter freezes.

Where did you start?? We have a little less then two acres of grass, a few trees, and some future garden area. I KNOW I can't afford someone to do it for me, but might be able to do it myself.
