spysweeper????

Isaiah 55:8-9
Spysweeper did a full sweep this morning with that being successful. Then when I logged on this afternoon my windows security alert says that my virus protection is turned off and my computer is at risk.
When I try to turn them on, it says the connection to spysweeper has been lost or terminated and needs to close and restart.
When it restarts, same things happens.
Three times tonight I had gotten a odd blue screen with white letters that say something about why it needs to shut down, as quickly as the blue screen appears it disappears.
How do I fix this problem?

This is what the repair man put on my computer months ago for 20bucks,
This has been the only problem I've had with it....

Oh, and it won't let me run a sweep or view the one alert or do anything.

TIA

::edit::
I did a system restore, sofar, it's working ok...
but thanks anyhow...

You had a virus/spyware issue. Anytime something comes up that says your virus protection is off and your computer is at risk, theres a pretty good chance you've got some malware.

Darwin was right
Try selecting:
Start/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore
and select a restore point prior to running Spysweeper when it caused the problem.

I got rid of Spysweeper a long time ago. I used it for a few years, and really liked it, but, while I don't remember the details, it caused my system to constantly lock up while running a sweep. Too bad, too, because I really really liked the product.

One product usually isn't enough to find all. Try Spybot and AdAware as well, and if you're running normally now, get the latest virus defs updated and run a full scan.

Thats because its crap. Uninstall all that spyware, adaware crap and get a real virus client. AVG is free and it works. I use NOD32, but installed AVG on over 200 machines and laptops at the college. :yay:

That spy sweeper crap is one big virus.
