I recently moved to leonardtown, how can I get the decal to drop of trash here? should I just drive up and ask? the website wasn't useful but I wanted to ask before I bring trash up

Thanks in advance

You can get the sticker from the attendant at the convenience center. But from what I've seen at the Rt 4 station, very few have them. I used to, but when I got a new truck 5 years ago, I never got another. Never ever been questioned.

You used to be able to drive up and ask the attendant. I'm sure it's the same now.

I think they gave up on that sticker long ago. They only seem concerned about how much you dump ( 4 x 32 gal cans worth) and what (household trash only, no construction or yard waste).

Yep, never have bothered with the sticker. You usually have something with you to prove residency, registration, liscence, mail, whatever. I guess they figure if you look residential and can find the place, thats good enough for them.

I had a decal on one or 2 of my vehicles in the past, but haven't been confronted for not having one on the last several I've had.

The landfill will accept up to 5 tires with or without rims free of charge. I know not everyone collects tires, but these came extra with a truck I bought and didn't need. I know this wasn't what the thread was started for, but thought it might be a good place to pass on the info.

Mattresses are hit and miss (at the landfill), depending on who is working the gate and what frame of mind they are in on any given day. My darling daughter wasn't charged when she deposed of 2 sets recently.

I don't think they even check anymore. I never got one for my new car and the BF would go with out of state plates and has never been questioned.
