Just spotted this the other day on Google Earth, seeing where Beachville Road ends up. What a nice little ramp, cant wait for a bit better weather to go launch out of there.

I agree with BG. Actually it's more for smaller boats with a shallow draw. Very shallow.

SOMD Racing did a photo shoot there back in November of 2005. Kinda like the boat launch to nowhere.

Because several bull sharks have been caught in that area. I'd be nervous to go out too far, but that's me. But a kayak would be good to launch from there. I was thinking you had a larger boat that's why the warning about the shallow draw.

Because several bull sharks have been caught in that area. I'd be nervous to go out too far, but that's me. But a kayak would be good to launch from there. I was thinking you had a larger boat that's why the warning about the shallow draw.

I know they have, but I think a 10 foot kayak is a bit outsized for a 12 foot shark.

I wouldn't have hesitated at all when i had my 17 foot canoe. I would have used that ramp, just would not have gone swimming.
