STATE SENATOR: THIS IS ST LOUIS' RACE WAR

Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadali said, "I have to tell you that there has been systematic racism, institutionally in state government for decades, including my own state party. So what we are looking at right now is a symptom of racism that has been swept under the rug for decades. and I am so glad now that the truth is out, and I'm very grateful to your network for telling the truth in reporting the truth of what's going to go down in the coming days."

"As it was said earlier today, and because of the systematic racism that we have in our state government, and our state party, and we do not bring the truth to bear, then we will not recover from what we are going on. What we are experiencing right now, and I have to tell you, this is St. Louis's race war. We didn't have a race war like other cities throughout the this is our race war. country. and people have to be open, and they have to be honest. and they have to earnest, and they have not been earnest for decades. I know people in my own party, in my own government structure who disregard things that we say and how we feel, and we are not going to allow it anymore," she added.

I really wish you'd re-do this. I happen to think you're not a moron and do have reasonable thoughts but, I think this is way out of bounds. It's not much of a race war when there are plenty of protestors who are white and plenty of cops and authorities who are black and, by and large, the victims of damage are black.

This is class struggle. Sure, it has a race component to it and I have no doubt someone is going to get attacked or murdered over skin color in the aftermath but, the clear cut dynamics of race of the 1950's and 60's are very much gone. That some wish it to be about race is understandable but, there has to be some sort of solid core, societal discrimination, back of the bus, race based limits in order for there to be any ability for a single issue like this shooting to carry very far. White cops are NOT executing black kids. The kid, at the very least, attacked the cop first. In the mean time blacks are murdering one another all day every day. Rudi Giuliani stated it plainly; if you're a young black male, what you have to fear is another young black male.

We have a black president. A black attorney general. Blacks in each and every segment of society. That there are frictions over time in Ferguson may well even have a racial component but, not a basis for a war.

I would argue that if you let yourself fall into this intellectual dead end, you're playing into the hands of a Sharpton or anyone else who wants and needs this to be about what it is not; the failure of leadership of the President of the United States.

Certainly there is racism there Maria Chappelle-Nadali is a racist herself.

What is crazy is that If I stand up for a white person I am a racist, but if blacks march for a dead criminal they are not.

you might want to look up that word......

I did. Once again, you are wrong.
Maria Chappelle Nadali perpetuated the issue as racism, not what it really is....class warfare.
Gurps passed on the information. Thats called reporting.
Another example of perpetuating racism..
Well, just go find any one of your posts

Mo State Sen: Unidentified Cops Hogtied and Called My Constituents Monkeys

For example, being hog-tied. I had constituents who were hog-tied and kicked when they were unconscious. I want to make sure through our legislation that not only can officers not do that thing, but I want to make sure that they are not name-calling people as well. Many of my constituents were called monkeys and animals. That should not be tolerated. Also in my legislation, we are going to enforce that every single officer wear his or her name badge when we're in a situation like this. So this is a wonderful opportunity to educate the community, but I want them to be a part of the process because this is our democracy. And our democracy can only be strong if we're working together."

more anecdotal stories ...

perpetuate: to cause (something that should be stopped, such as a mistaken idea or a bad situation) to continue

no one here perpetuating racism, only pointing out what a  loon the people of Missouri have for a Congress Critter

I made no comment on wither or not state agencies or the Democratic party in the State of Missouri are conducting as Race War on the African American Community - by way of how they are treated

you are an idiot. You can look that word up too.......

by posting that crap with no comment you perpetuate it.

If you wanted to condemn it you should have. If you wanted to point out that she is a loon you should have. Instead you post it on its own just to race bait, PERPETUATING the issue.

So is that how she got to be a State Senator...because of systemic, institutionalized racism?

Apparently she thinks her own "people" are stupid since she obviously feels that they'll buy into that crap.

The CBC is a major perpetuator of racism.

I might add that if people stop acting like monkeys and animals. no one will call them that.
How is it that I can call a white child ,molester an animal, but if he were black I cannot.

I can call Charles Manson an animal that should be executed, but Mumia Abu Jamal is considered a hero cop killer and I cannot call him an animal.

Democrats didn't mind calling George Bush a monkey, but we cannot use that phrase for George Soro's organ grinder cup carrier.

Just more words we cannot use when referring to the constantly offended.
I find this morning that "Charging" is now a racial trigger word.
