St Mary’s College

In my decade-or-so long career of lurking on these here forums (specifically this “life in southern Maryland” one) I’ve rarely seen us local folks talk much about this place. Sure, an odd story or remark here or there, but it seems that, overall, we treat that place like it barely exists. What are y’all’s thoughts on that college? There any good places to eat there?

They ran Chik-Fil-A out several years ago. Campus is BEAUTIFUL and co-located with St Mary's City. Awesome place to go for a walk or a jog.

Courtney's isa true Deep Southern MD restaurant.. worth the experience


ENZO's bakery is in St Mary's City.. call ahead to order the day before but be quick.

Courtney's menu looks decent if I am ever in that area, might stop in. Rarely need to go down that way.

Locals all like Courtneys, I've never been able to get past the parking lot. Place looks like a dump. And kinda is with all the derelict boats and campers. But I'll get there one day.

Wonder how things will go for them once Pier 450 opens.

It is a dump. I've tried to give it a go a few times, then gave up. It's filthy inside, and the stuff on the "salad bar" was bubbling like it was alive. Ain't none of those locals gonna catch the Kung Flu because they've all been immunized by Courteney's.
