St. Mary's Tomatoes

I have a friend who grew up in Lexington who always talks about St. Mary's tomatoes. We have driven down there from Howard County to buy crabs from his crab connection, but have never been able to find St. Mary's tomatoes. The roadside stands would always say they didn't have any. Does anyone know what St. Mary's tomatoes are and what time of year you can buy them? My friend swears they're the best tomatoes anywhere.

I don't think it's a kind of tomato - I think they must just mean, tomatoes they got here.
Admittedly, the Amish are pretty good at growing good produce.

Just sneakin' around....
I've not gotten any from the Amish stands, should try them. Pretty disappointed with tomatoes in general. Even the ones at the Farmer's Market lack the flavor and character I remember. I've tried growing heirlooms, but never had much luck.
