Iam having a "Teen" Super Bowl party at my house this year. With a Safe Half Time event and neat door prizes. Every one is to dress up to represent their fav sport team or person. Youth Group Party. The one at the church sounds like a lot of fun too. I love Super Bowl Parties!

Do you have to believe in god in order to go?

I think one of the points is to get non believers to go so they can see Christians are just people like all other people with one difference; they know Jesus as Savior and Lord. Who knows. You might make a friend or two or more and have a good time to boot.

:coffee: Actually all one must believe is that grown men beating and pounding on each other to force a football over a goal line is some how virtuous and upbuilding.

At the half-time show the entertainers try to bring some music and culture and civility to the brutal minds - but the Christians turn off that part of the event.

So the answer is absolutely "NO", no you do not have to believe in God to go to any football game.

So you fault anyone for them not wanting there kids to see, women half dressed looking like street walkers with their breast falling out?:smack:

And yes Christians are to have moral standards, and not embrace the imorality that the culture is pushing!

Yes, I can see where Prince, the performer last year, is considered the height of culture and civility.

:coffee: I believe the point was that Football is a brutal sport with grown men beating up on each other in order to win a meaningless ball game,

while the musical entertainment at halftime is the slight attempt to civilize the brutal mentality of that game.

I suspect that the fans in the stadium do not appreciate the music and half-time entertainment either,

but producers and entertainers do it anyway to sooth the brutal beast or to act like the game is civilized so I see it as a futile fraud too.

Most years I try to turn the channel only to see the half-time show and then escape before the Football starts back up.

Or the another prospective without viewing everything as barbaric or a social injustice, and in the proceess elavating yourself in your own eyes as if your more enlighted or somehow a better human being.

Is that these are entertainers/sports figures who are willing to take a little bodily abuse to make a lot of money and become stars in the sports industry.
It's not extreame sports, a cage match to the death, or a modern day battle of the gladiators!

So its not as exciting to you as sitting behind a computer laughing, as you minipulate people into emotional response to comments so rediculess, that you have to laugh to your self when typing them.
Somehow hopping that you will draw out contempt or anger so you can sit back and feel self fullfilled by the abuse, allowing you to wollow in a victims mentality?

Differnt strokes, I am not a sports fan, but I ll take the time hanging out with friends, and oh can you pass me the wings?

Ding! We have a winner! :yay:

JPC is not nearly as dumb as he tries to make himself out to be. I truly think he gets a kick out of posting his rants and then watching people get all bent out of shape about it. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

:coffee: There is nothing "pathetic" about it.

I am funny and I try to make funny posts and others are funny too.

Those people that get bent out of shape are being defensive in their own dirty deeds and it is not from me.

The only value I see in Football is it occupies the brutes so that they will not go out and actually do some thing of significance.

Keeping the brute mentality occupied on meaningless junk seems to be a very effective way of keeping them down.

Rock and roll. :larry:
