Stabbing in Callaway?

Stabbing last night in Callaway around midnight. Anyone have details? Just wondering if this was a domestic call, or if it was similar to other crimes in LP area where home owners were being accosted in their own driveways for robberies.

Unknown what type of incident, but it was a 20 year old male with a stab wound to his chest. Ambulance transported him Priority 2 to SMH.

You do know that locks only keep out honest people, right? Half the time I don't lock my door when I leave for work. If they are going to break in, I'd rather them not destroy my house doing so, it would cost me more $ in repairs.

There were two on the same night. One in Spring Valley and one off of Scarborough Dr.

On March 2, Cpl. V. Walker responded to a residence on Canvas Back Road in Callaway, for a report of an assault in progress.

Upon arrival Cpl. Walker found the victim lying on the floor with a stab wound to his upper chest. Cpl. Walker summoned the Emergency Medical Services to respond. The victim reported a light skinned female nicknamed “Dreka” stabbed him and fled next door.

Deputies located Shadreka Kamya Barnes, 19 of Lexington Park, and took her into custody.

Further investigation revealed Barnes and the victim were engaged in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical assault when Barnes stabbed the victim in the chest.

The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
