Stackable Crab Traps

Does anyone in SOMD area make/sell stackable crab traps?

Joey Parlett makes and sells them.. His store is across the street from Charlotte Hall library. Next to the bank. He makes all kinds of crabbing supplies.

All crab pots can be stacked, because they are cubes.

It is a 5 sided hand trap that the top is open and they will stack inside of each other like five gallon buckets. That take up a lot less room on a boat.

Well first you gotta be smarter than a crab...
They are hand traps... when the trap rests on the bottom the sides lay down and the crabs walk into the trap and eat whatever bait you have in the trap. There is a rope and a float on the surface and you lay out the traps maybe 50 to 75 ft apart and when you retrieve them you pull very fast and the sides of the trap snap shut and you pull the trap into the boat. You lay them out like a trout line. As a NON commercial crabber you are not allowed to use the large traps that they use. Non commercial can use the commercial traps ( pots ) if you own a pier and only with 2 of the large commercial pots.

Tacklebox sells Foxymates. They are mass produced, but very good. Expect to modify the bait holder to your liking - the Springs are useless. Crabs can grab the bait right out of it.
