It was - ok. Since I also have CBS Access, I also watched the next episode, which is the battle with the Klingons and the outcome afterward.

It's a little unusual in that the main character is NOT the ship's captain, but so far, someone very unusual (mostly raised by Vulcans) who thus far is guilty of mutiny and whom is blamed by her shipmates for the war.

Sorry CBS, not going to pay another $6 a month for one channel. Get on board with Hulu or Netflix, or keep it free (with commercials of course). They have shot themselves in the foot, calf, quad, and crotch with this one.

Tried watching this but it's too ####ing gay AND weird.

Half the characters seem to be either gay, bi or trans.

Then theres the "Spore Drive" aka "Mycelium Drive" aka Fungus... navigated by a Tardigrade.

I'm not going out very far on a limb here when I suggest this was the result of a group of writers enjoying a trip to Oregon and smoking some shrooms, when one of them said "Ya know what would be great.... Power a starship with Shrooms!!!" and they all :yahoo:

Yep .. I have skipped all Star Wars or Star Trek

although Bad Batch was a great cartoon
The show Strange New Worlds is actually pretty good.

Well, except for an episode that descended into a musical.

I did watch the last season of Picard ... that was pretty damn good .. and of course Seven of Nine is a lesbian
Yeah, I just tried to ignore that BS since it only took a few seconds out of the show here and there.
