Methodically disorganized
I like the silhouette of your face, and it's position with the shadows... but the "ether" part sort of gets me. Looking out the window to the clear day does not remind me of "ether"; maybe if it was foggy, or cloudy it would work better [for me].

I really think the ether is referring to the blank stare at the curtain with the different light glows showing through. It is almost like the twilight before you are put to sleep with anesthetic? ? ? ? At least that is my take on it.

The ether, for me, is comprised of the various flashes of lights and colors and pixels -- the seeable unseeables -- that persist in my day-to-day existence.

But yes, it is different for many others.

First....it's a cool shot....I really like it.
Without reading your explanation .....I thought.....hmmmm an artist with a vision that just cant get through that sheer, that screen, that window...it's very clear in your mind but in reality ...you just can't make it happen.
Does that about cover the frustration of the artist?
