On 1/26/2023, Tpr C. Holder conducted a traffic stop on Point Lookout Road at Winters Lane, Leonardtown, MD. Investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Alissa Aronia Morgan, 21 of Clements, MD, was driving while under the influence. A probable cause search revealed suspected Marijuana. Morgan was arrested and transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for processing, where she became disorderly and assaulted two troopers. Morgan was then transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with Second Degree Assault - LE/P&P/Fire/EM x2. She was also issued numerous traffic citations and a civil citation for Possession of CDS: Marijuana.
On 1/28/2023, TFC J. Pope conducted a traffic stop on Three Notch Road at MacArthur Boulevard, California, MD. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed suspected Cocaine. The passenger of the vehicle initially provided a false name but was identified as Alexis Coryne Somerville, 25 of Lexington Park, MD. Somerville was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where a secondary search revealed additional suspected Crack Cocaine. Somerville was charged with Possession of CDS: Not Marijuana x2, Possession of CDS: Paraphernalia x2, Possession of Contraband - Place of Confinement, and Fraud - Person's Identity to Avoid Prosecution.
