ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Looking for a unique holiday gift? You can now buy a piece of the historic Wye Oak from the Department of Natural Resources.

Gilded Wye Oak leaves and seedlings are now available for sale online at the DNR's Web site, DNR.MD.gov/WyeOak. The gilded leaves start at $35 and the seedlings cost $25.

Proceeds will be used to create the Wye Oak exhibit and pavilion at the former site of state tree in Wye Mills.

Officials said supplies are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The 450-year-old tree fell over during a summer storm in June 2002.

Wood from the tree is being used for public art projects around the state, crab mallets and a new desk for the governor's office.
