Stay at home job?

Does anyone on here do any kind of stay at home jobs? If so do they pay good , I work fulll time doing construction , and me and my girlfriend have two kids and she stays at home with them while Im at work , I make enough money to get by just fine , but would like to find one of these stay at home gigs for her , I have heard of a couple of people around here doing there jobs , any input or know were to start one of these jobs?

I have a stay at home job 4 of 5 days as a Database Administrator. It's fairly specialized, though. Does she know SQL? What are her skills and interests? Does she want a stay at home job?

She can start selling stuff on Ebay. That kept me in the green for a few months and it was fun.

Other than that, all I can say, is avoid the emails you get about "work from home". Effers scammed me.

My wife does medical transcription from home. It doesn't pay great, but the savings in daycare expenses makes it worthwhile. CSM has a training course if she's interested. If she can type and is willing to learn medical terms it's not too rough.

If you have a talent you can use it to make money. I was a sign painter for many years and decided to stay home with my kids. I constructed and painted signs from home. It worked out very well.

No...I grew to hate the business after computers took it over. Vinyl lettering and sign shops with unexperienced sign people making plastic signs with no layout and design experience.

Vinyl lettering has it's place but there are very few that can us it and make it look like it's a piece of art.

If you are in St. Mary's, I know a guy that is the best in the business. I learned from him!

Wayne of Wayne's signs(Helen) is good....I sew up some of the banners for him and get to see some of the stuff that he has done in the past....It's amazing

Does my butt look big?
I need a 2 sided sign for the grooming business...would like to not have wood as my wooden sign only lasted a couple years..something that will take the weather and 3 X 4 maybe..

They have a sign over at the shop that is made out of vynil(Wayne did it) that has been hanging on the side of the barn for about 5 years now and it still looks like it's brand new :yay:

Waynes signs did my real estate signs four years ago and they still look brand new, and with the way the market has been I have had some signs out in the weather for a a year straight and they still look great. I know a lot of real estate people use him as well.

What would you recommend..???

Do you have to record it as income on your taxes?

there's always home daycare
selling stuff-party ideas galore
cleaning for others
pet sitting
selling on ebay
crafting and selling



I've worked for fitness places in the child care for free classes/ some pay better than others. Or the front desk if you're business oriented/selling memberships etc...
