Steny Hoyer

After hearing about the detainee interrogation and warrantless wiretap bills being passed by the House in the past few days I took a look at the voting records. Steny Hoyer voted against both of these measures and in turn I will not be voting for Mr. Hoyer in November. And I have voted for Hoyer in the past. I feel most people will vote for Steny just because of his name but you have to look deeper too see how he has been voting. I feel in the past few years Hoyer has been hi-jacked by the left wing of the democratic party and has fallen out of touch with the voters in SOMD. If a poll was taken in SOMD I think the majority of people would be in favor of these 2 bills. However, it seems Steny has too follow the party line unlike 34 and 18 democrats who voted for these 2 bills.

His voting record has mostly always been way to the left.
For too long he has been considered God's gift to Pax River.
Pax is not going to dry up and go away if Stinky Hoyer does.!!

You're all F'in Mad...
Until PG County decides they don't like him, the rest of Southern Maryland will just have to live with him as our Congressman. He's very effective for Pax River, so he will probably last as long as he wants to. But he definitely doesn't represent his conservative Southern Maryland constituents very well. :ohwell:

The biggest problem is that the Republicans have not been able to come up with a credible candidate to run against him.

If they could do that he may have some trouble.

Steny is a good man and has done alot for this county. I for one like him and we need him in Washington. I will vote for him again. We need to clean out the Whitehouse and the Statehouse. To many untrustworthy people in those houses.

Sounds like these issues would make good SOMD polls....Anyone wanna run with this?

I usually shake my head when I read or hear anything about what Hoyer is doing. Who is he representing? Certainly not the majority of citizens in SOMD. He would fit in better in California or Vermont.
