Walked outside this morning to be greeted again by an awful stench coming from the east. Horrible..whole area around our island smells like an open sewer. Second time in a week or so.

I better see pictures of Dr. Brewster personally pulling water samples from the area.

Massive piles of rotting sea grass, with all sorts of dead marine stuff and other questionable things mixed in. It's a mess.

Massive piles of rotting sea grass, with all sorts of dead marine stuff and other questionable things mixed in. It's a mess.

Hopefully it washed out from up this way, so we can navigate the creeks and try to catch a perch or two. For the last 3 or so years, the back waters have been so choked with vegetation, there's no use in trying to lob a beetle spin in skinny water. Of course, the sand flats have produced numbers, but not many big'uns. Gonna fight the weekend warriors later today and see.
