At least he looks vaugley like a mechainc. And there is a thing Boeing calls "speed tape". Literally 200mph tape. Well, more than 200, but you get the idea. Leaving I think it was Antigua once in our Navy aircraft, we were behind some 15 passenger island hopper. 15 minutes passes while we waited. Fianlly the door opens, ladder comes down, pilot comes down with a ladder and a few tools. Still one motor running on the other wing. He pops open the cowling and spend 3 minutes doing stuff. Back inside, buttoned up, engine starts, and away he goes...... always wondered how much fear was aboard that aircraft....
