storage shed

I live in Owings. Can anyone recommend a place that can deliver a pre-built storage shed, or build one? Anybody know the specs, codes, restrictions, etc. for the county?

Thanks,

How big ya talkin about?
Are you looking for a vinyl or wood?
I purchased a Rubbermaid Big Max Ultra Shed for a rental property I have-worked out great.
Details:7' x 10.5' footprint. 413 cu. ft. of storage space. Includes 2 leak-proof skylights. Wide double front and single rear door for easy storage and access. Durable resin construction resists moisture and will not rust, fade, split or peel. Commercial grade floor included-resists cracking even in cold temperatures. Can be assembled in under 90 minutes. Secures with padlocks (not included).
A couple of pals of mine and I put it together-you will need help!
It works for the community the house is located in-personally, I prefer wood construction.

In Calvert, if it's less than 150 sq ft. you don't need to bother with a permit.

i'd rather go with vinyl or wood. don't want to put it together myself. I built my deck myself and I still wonder if it was worth it.

We have two sheds from Martin's Sheds, 25141 Buggy Trail Way, Mechanicsville. They have no phone so you'd need to write or just show up. Prices and quality were both good. Asphalt shingle roof, wood siding, windows that open, etc. They offer delivery and setup through some associates.

Goofy,

whatever you do stay away from Alans in Hughesville. HE is a rip off. Never delivers on time, and terrible customer service.

We just ordered a 12 x 20 shed from Gehman's for $3500. They are off of Friendship School Road (Bishop Rd) in Mechanicsville. Great quality, Amish built wooden sheds. All different sizes and styles to choose from. Prices include delivery, but they do have a limited delivery area. They set it up & level it for you.

The place is run by the Amish, so there is only one phone in a little office. You might need to call a couple times to get someone.

I bought a 8x12 salt box shed from Gehman's (around $1,500) 1.5 years ago. No complaints. Decent number of shingle colors to choose from.

My experience has been the opposite. I've bought two sheds from Alan's and never had a problem. Good gustomer and follow-up service, and the sheds were delivered when promised.

I believe Alan's sells the same sheds for alot of the Amish and Mennonite's in the area, your better off going direct to the builders, they are scattered all around Charlotte Hall, Mechcanicsville and Loveville and cut Alan's the middleman out. IMO

I knew Alan personally at one time. He took good care of me but that was almost 10 years ago. Things change. I hear all kinds of good things about the local Amish folks.

Not Alan's Outlet!!

The others comments are so right!! This place will bring you misery. The service stinks. The ethics similar. GO ELSEWHERE.

Matthew Gehman is wonderful, and his quality is fantastic. Ours is 10 years old, and still looks like new.

It's spooky that these older threads are coming back to life.
No kidding - because I'm doing it.

I've heard good things about Gehman's but there's no website I can find (logical - Amish).
Anyone have an idea what pricing is like now, and how wide is their delivery area?
