Strange Hangout?

Ok, so I know I'm new to the area... and I already feel as if I'm in a foreign land that I'm trying to navigate... but somebody clear this up for me.

I stopped at the Burchmart on the way home cuz my Peanut needed milk. The damn place is crowded as hell! And after I got some gas (because there was no where else to park and I felt obligated to get gas as I HAD to go inside to get milk) I went in and people are outside just standing around and talking and hanging out.

When I got inside, I asked the cashier if that happened often and she said "Yeah, every night the older guys come down here and just chat away."

Seriously... is that what people do for fun around here?

Yes. Pete and Otter are there almost every night. They are the tobacco chewing/spitting guys.

Why not baby? It's innocent and fun to see your buds! Better than a bar full of drunks right?

Huh. I didn't pay attention to the guys, only that there were random people chatting outside the Burchmart and the place was super crowded and it confused the heck out of me.

Watch for Otter. He spits it pretty far, but he isn't that good of an aim, if you get my drift. You kind of want to get in and out real quick.

Hey! I once lived in a town were Friday nights you'd cruise and any girls that liked your car would get in and you'd drive them around town. Everyone did it. I couldnt believe it but it was a dry town and no night life. Still strange to me though.

Stop hating. They were probably just meeting up before they headed out into the woods for coven.

So people in Minnesota don't congregate at the corner grocer? What the heck do they do?
Um, they go downtown, mostly... or in the smaller towns like the one I came from, people go to the VFW or the Eagles and drink and sing karaoke.

Magnum

Should be Huntin
Back in the day all the guys with CB's used to hang out in Waldorf. It was fun, we used to play hide and seek in our trucks :yay:

Punks as in kids between 15 and 20?

These were not kids between 15 and 20, unless they're all prematurely grey and already have saggy man boobs.

kris, be sure to get a 44 oz. Burchmart fountain drink cup. You can use it to get your morning diet coke w/ shot of vanilla fix at the local Wawa's at the Wawa refill price.

Pete doesn't have saggy man boobs, so that must have been Otter. I would have said hello had I known you were there.

I didn't say *I* went to the VFW or the Eagles to drink and sing karaoke...

I went to the Colisium to sing karaoke because my best friend's uncle owned the place and that's where people of my age group went to sing. We'd also go down to the Bullseye Saloon in Elko because we knew the KJ.

I'm not calling everyone a redneck, so that's a pretty idiotic thing to imply with your picture... I'm simply very confused by it and am wondering if it's a fluke or if it's something that happens with regularity.
