:yay: you're a good dad. I'd like to think that even if I saw a kid do that to an adult, I'd still go to the child and wait with him/her until a parent arrived.

That is so ubelieveable! I know sometimes kids can be crazy sometimes- but there is not anything wrong with, like they said, being safe than sorry. I had tears in my eyes- I cannot believe that people just walked by. I would only hope that now- maybe people will start monitoring better.

Pete, I commend you.

Oh, and he is NOT getting in a car with someone who says they are a cop and flash a badge either unless they are in full uniform with a marked cruiser.

Do you think that people are reluctant to help because in todays society seeing kids act out like that is the norm? Lets face it, do to the "no spank" policy that most have enforced in their homes and the spoiling rotten of children, all too often kids act like that in public.

I can count on one hand how many times I have spanked and I have NEVER had my children throw tantrums in stores once they were over 2 ofcourse, that horrible hell that is a 2 year old sometimes does not always cooperate.

I will not ignore someone yelling help whether it be man, child or beast! More than likely if you stop to investigate, if the person is not a parent, he will probably flee in fear the cops will arive. Only the true parent will stand around and wait for the cops to show.

I just watched that video, and what I want to say is this:

Why did the white wonder bread's turn away, and it was the black "gangsta" type that closed their cell phones and ran to the young girl's aid?

Media, or is it the little wonder bread brats many of us have spawned who DO have #### fits like that in the street, and we as their parents tend to ignore their nasty little tantrums?

I agree with sinwagon on this one.

This also brought to mind the case of Kitty Genovese.

Good night, and sweet dreams. :howdy:

I remeber when I was a kid we had a password so we knew who was safe.

How would a password have helped this little girl if this abduction was real? The "actor" grabbed her and she screamed for help...who helped her?

People DON'T want to get involved, just lay the blame after the fact.
