strep test

Does anyone know if you can get a strep test at Dr. Polko's office? I have had a sore throat for 3 days and its not getting better. My primary doctor is Cafferty and I would like to avoid going there if possible. I dont even know if he is practicing again. I am 29 weeks pregnant so I didnt know if ob/gyn happen to keep strep tests in their offices.

Worse comes to worse, run into UrgentCare and get one done.

I definately plan on asking. Just didnt know if someone has been tested there or not. Just trying to get an idea.

My copay at hospital is more but I will probably chose that route before my primary doctor.

I don't think you can. When I was prego and sick she told me to go see my family dr.

Are you running a fever? A few months back I had a sore throat that lasted a week. If your not running a fever my guess would be that it isn't strep.

I had a fever Tuesday and Wednesday. I went to urgent care this morning and they said it isnt strep. Just have to wait it out.
