Strep Throat Spreading in Southern Maryland

I have noticed lots of kids coming down with Strep. Highly contagious. Strep can be serious if not treated properly. In some cases the adults get it. Apparently this strain is somewhat resistant to antibiotics. People are being treated at Doctor's Offices and hospitals for it. Children who have not been exposed to antibiotics as much during their lifetime have responded pretty well with standared treatment. Adults who may have had an going exposure to antibiotics seem to have more trouble with it.

Children mimic adults. When adults don't do it, they don't either. Even though they are told to. Schools are one big Petri Dish. No one keeps home a sick child even though they are supposed to.
