Stress headaches?

Besides taking a painkiller, what can I do to get rid of a stress headache? I guess that's what they are. I seem to get them at work, and sometimes at home. I drink plenty of water, so it's not dehydration. I can't exactly go home or quit my job, so I need to find something else. Any suggestions?

It could be stress, might also be eyestrain. if you haven't recently, get your eyes checked.

Hmm...I've always had really great vision. I'll mention it next time I see a doctor though.

I did some shoulder rolls, arm circles, and neck rolls and it feels a little better.

Cymbalta. It's a little pricey, but it works. I wonder now how I could have percieved having so much stress in my life. It's like my body was havnig some sort of hyper-drive response to any stress factors at all, like running out of toilet paper, then stubbing my toe, then not having enough milk to fill a whole glass. After two or three tiny things like that, I would feel like my head was about to explode and I would turn into super-#####. Now it rolls right off my shoulders like it should.

Stress will go away once you are married and don't have to deal with planning a wedding anymore. You have alot on your plates right now that give you stress headaches.

I agree with the vision thing too though, I start getting headaches a few months before it's time for me to get new glasses each year. They go away after I get my new Rx.

I know...I just need a remedy (non-prescription) until then.

I really don't know what to offer. Ask someone to take care of some things you have left to do to let you "relax" for the weekend or so.

Just hang in there, your wedding is almost here and you'll have a load off your shoulders. :huggy:

Got someone in the office you can trust to give you a neck and shoulder massage? Zen out for a few minutes while getting a rub is great....

Eww. Not really.

No really...but get a professional one....not a co-worker. Sometimes it could be trigger points in your neck/shoulders, it could be barometric pressure changes, hormones, allergies, spinal curvature or any number of issues.

But at least "try" a massage. Get a professional one from someone that knows what they're doing in a reputable place.

Also, try putting ice on your forehead for as long as you can stand it.

Good luck to ya!:howdy:
