Just put that sucker in. If it works you did good, if it doesn't read the instructions. This ain't the same thing as how to fold fitted sheets.

1) frame the roug opening with 2x4's perpindicular to the cieling rafters/trusses

2)Put the stair case up on top of the rafters/trusses. (outa the way of the desired opening)

3) temporaly screw two pieces of 2x4's across the bottom of the rafters/ trusses, about 12 inches from the end of the rough opening (If drywall exists place 2x4's on bottom of drywall)

4) now slide the stairs into place and shim/ and screw in place.

Remove 2x4's and trim to match existing trim :yay:
