Sorry Jenn, I must disagree. Girls are much nastier creatures! Not all girls of course but in general girls are much more difficult.

Now that I think about it, Jannifer's right. While the girls do that "bestfrined-mortalenemy-bestfriend-mortal" enemy thing, their social structure is always subject to change at a moment's notice. Boys who are smaller and weaker usually have to wait until college before they can get an education without someone bullying them and wanting to kick their ass.

"Nasty" is the perfect word for it. I think all girls have a mean streak. I am a very nice person, anyone who knows me will tell you so, but they'll also tell you that when I'm ticked off, I make people cry.

I don't know about boys being meaner. I remember some girls when I was in grammer school that were pretty physical to those they didn't like. Of course the teachers would never believe it of little girls. Apparently the teacher had been ignoring calls from parents about this little girl.

So one day, under instructions from my parents, I haul off and belted the kid back. When the principal ask why I did it I said "Because my father told me to". He was dumb founded. What could he say? It finally got the school's attention to what a little bully this girl was. But nothing else was done.

I do know that the following year they wanted to put in the same teacher's class again but my parents had me moved. I don't think schools have changed very much in 30+ years.
