Ok this - made me laugh out loud. At different times in the past, I’ve paid for access to a few news sources. WaPo, WSJ and others, and I still subscribe to the Daily Wire. It’s just DW now and I’m considering dropping them too.

Just clicked on a link on Drudge - yeah, still go there sometimes but it’s not what it was - and there’s a link saying people are dropping their subscriptions, they’re getting sick of them.

It’s WSJ. I got to read about three seconds -

Before the popup asked for a subscription.

Somebody tell Alanis - THAT is what irony means.

If you charge to access you drivel your readers believe that by paying they are getting the real truthful news without bias. The lightened wallet readers then believe that their source is the only correct one. There was a thead about all of us non-paying people being poor illiterates just mooching off the hard working new outlets.
