Anyone been checking the fares for this summer yet? Just wondering what kind of luck everyone has been having.

I recently bought airfare from DCA to MCO (Orlando) for $159 PP RT. I checked earlier this week, and the same flight is $199 PP RT.

Which airline? I know Southwest ussaully has good fares to MCO.

I bought tickets BWI-NAS Nassau for $310 Per person RT on AirTran in July. A bit more than what we paid last year. I looked at that flight now and it's up to $420 per person RT so I guess all the uncertainly about fuel prices is starting to have an impact.

US Airways. I searched and searched for about a month and kept a daily log of airfare cost before I booked. SW would have cost about $100 more, even considering their no fees for checked baggage. And, I'm not a big fan of SW so I would prefer to not travel w/them.

It's so weird how the airfare work. We normally take US Airways ot of DCA to Nassau but, this time, they wanted $1900 for four of us. Last year it was $1100 and change so we went with AirTran out of BWI.
