Summer Hairdo?

So I went to my hairdresser to get a cut and highlight. She said, "Go for the summer 'do" (meaning more highlights than normal). So, stupidly, I said "SURE!"

Now I'm REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY blond.

I can't figure out if I like it or not...it usually takes a few days for a highlight to "calm down." Should I be worried about getting too much sun while I'm in Hilton Head? All I can think is "brassywhite:.

My experience is that the highlights will lighten up a bit in the sun. It's probably just a dramatic change for you, you'll get used to it.

I almost had my dark brown hair lightened (a honey color), but luckily changed my mind before my appointment, and cancelled the color/highlight part and just went with the trim. The upkeep of lighter hair is not something I feel like dealing with right now.

I guess the change is not as dramatic as I thought. I saw my friend today and said, "So do I look blonde?" and she said, "You did something different to your hair???"

Maybe I overreacted. The color has "calmed down" today.

Clariol Shimmer Lights (it's a "blue" shampoo) available at most drug stores(CVS) and beauty supply stores will help. I did the same thing (several times) and it works great to "calm" the brassiness and "yellow"....

I'm ready to do the same, I just don't want to pay for it, or go back every few weeks for touch-ups.
