In My Opinion
Now, I know its not Disney but,, maybe next year.

this year it is a 4 week run.

We have decided to turn the Grand Canyon into a National park run, here is are the parks in order that we will visit.
Painted Desert and Petrified Forest
Grand Canyon
Zion National Park
Bryce Canyon
Capitol Reef (drive by)
Arches Canyonland
Black Canyon of the Gunisson
Rocky Mountain National Park (highest paved road in a national Park at 12,183ft at the contenental divide)

then back home.

should be fun pulling the 35ft through the Rocky's like that.

of course, this all depends on the stocks not dropping too much more than they have,, a bigger drop and here are the plans.
day one, go to patuxent river mile from house, put big toe in water. Go home.
day two, back to work.

Personally, I think you could skip the petrified forest. Been there, done that...several times...I actually thought I had missed something the first time and did a second route. lol

In any case, sounds like fun. Hope you get to go!

I know what you mean about the petrified forest, been there though the same, but the youngun hasnt been bored to total death yet, and its right there on the way to the grand canyon from the painted desert.
still not sure about pulling the trailer over ridge road in Rocky Mountain, If I remember correctly that is one harsh road when it comes to width and switchbacks.

Would THIS face lie?
I saw diesel is under $2 now...I'm sure by the time you leave it will be back up....Get a 65 gal drum and fill it up and put it in the back when you go..

cant be any worse than the 4.85 we were averaging at the pump for the yellowstone trip.

next year somewhere closer.

Throwing the deuces
My husband told me the other night that he wants to do a month long trip across America in a few years (by car :faint:) Lucky for me, the chances of me having enough leave saved up to take off for a month is slim to none.

Its taken a long long time to get to the point that we can do this.
this may be the last year we can pull it off before sending the youngun to college so as long as we dont suffer anymore stock failure, we will be going for it.
Ive crossed by car 3 tiimes with my parents, 2 times by myself, then last year to yellowstone.
This may be my last total crossing, but you never really know now do you?
