SunTrust/Truist

Did anyone NOT receive a snail-mail/on-line statement from SunTrust/Truist in February or March 2022?

We DID NOT, consequently, a late fee and Credit Bureau bruise may result. Our branch management was sympathetic and helpful but had no "internal" contact with billing. However, she knew the official transition from SunTrust to Truist was problematic. I sat at the mgr.'s desk while she went thru the 1-888 number and sat on hold for over 15 minutes. She eventually spoke directly with the credit card representative. The credit card representative was more obnoxious with her than I would have guessed. Her response was pretty much "too bad".

We will see what happens.

I do know that their mortgage billing statements have been late two months in a row now.

This "merger" was supposed to be BBT taking over SunTrust but it appears that somewhere along the line that changed and the BBT people have been shoved out at HQ and SunTrust practices have been installed.

And the name Truist is still stupid.

During the height of the USPS problems a year or more ago, I received a credit statement way past the due date. I called the company and explained and told them to look at the last 12 months that I had paid in full and on time. They eliminated the late fees and interest. I really was surprised.

We got our statement but not sure if we got it for both Feb and March or just for one of those months. Not sure why a missed statement would cause late fees and credit hit.
