Super Bowl and Daytona 500

I allow myself to make junk food for these two events. Last year we had a Taco Ring for one and Brats with all the fixings for the other. Previous years included ribs and pizza.

Looking for some suggestions on really good junk food.

Nothing beats chili dogs when it is time to try and kill yourself with one meal.

Close second is sunken burritos, essentially Mexican chili dogs.

I love chili dogs!

Grilled with a little burn on them. Warm potato rolls. Drowned with real chili, not that stuff with beans in it. Diced white onions. Sharp cheddar. Diced jalapenos. Two in a bowl, eat the whole mess with a fork. Apply beer, liberally, as needed.

Sit back and just grin as the coma takes over the body.

I did a nacho bar one time. My husband went and "dressed" each chip individually and made maybe 6 chips. I looked like a hog coming to sit and watch the game with my big old baking dish full of a mountain of nachos.

I don't know but, you might wanna keep an eye on your hubby. Warning signs are praying to the East, 5 times a day, a little rug he keeps handy, blames pretty much everything on the will of God, a God who, by the way, would NEVER approve of such behavior...

You, obviously, are a real American.

Buy some lil smokies, Pillsbury crescent rolls.

Cut the rolls into small triangles, wrap around the smokies and bake following the directions for the rolls until they are golden brown. You have mini pigs in a blanket. :yum:

Have you tried the ones in Pretzel Bread? They are awesome.

I did that yesterday with cheddar cheese and turkey bacon. They were gone before we could make a fancy name for them. :cheesy:

Did you put the bacon in the rolls or wrap it around the smokies?

Both sound good. but I unrolled the dough, but didn't separate it and put the cheese and bacon on it and rolled the dough back up and sliced it like cookies. I know something is good when my "young adult" kids count how many everyone gets. :lmao:
