obstruction of an official proceeding case. This is felony used against 300+ J6ers and represents half of Jack Smith's indictment against Trump. If SCOTUS determines DOJ has misused the statute...will be a game changer.

"(c) Whoever corruptly—(1) alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or (2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so,shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both."


Isn't that what the Jan 6 Committee did when it destroyed the evidence used in their case against Trump? Congress did Subpoena some records and the Committee claims they didn't keep it. BUT they were asked to keep all records by Congress, early on in their Hearings. :eyebrow:
