Sotomayor said she’s “never seen” a constitutional right to carry a gun on private property.

There was not a custom of carrying firearms in Hawaii for 200 years, Sotomayor noted, highlighting how 78% of residents and 64% of Hawaii gun owners don’t think loaded concealed weapons should be allowed into businesses.

“Hawaii is part of the United States,” gun rights advocate attorney Alan Beck replied. “As part of the United States, our national tradition is that people are allowed to carry on private property that is open to the public.”

She's all about identity politics.

Sotomayor said in a speech at 2001 at the University of California, Berkeley, law school.

"I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

That line has and continues to piss me off. Yep, no wise white males. They don't have lived experience either. Wisdom and life experience can indeed lead you to better conclusions. But your heritage has nothing to do with either of those things.

I'd really like to see some of the much older right-leaning SCOTUS justices consider retirement while Trump is still in office.
The left is so determined to flip the court, they're still planning to pack the court, even in lieu of so many of THEM saying it would be wrong, and the disaster that followed FDR when he tried.

Even Biden is on record - albeit a long time ago - saying it is a "boneheaded idea". "It was a boneheaded idea then, and it's a boneheaded idea now".

It should be mandatory retirement at age 70. Go home, old people. Get reacquainted with your family. Take up gardening. Be a human again.
