True to my nature, I'm finding myself feeling sorry for Howard Dean and wanting to defend him. I guess he misjudged the Clintonistas and thought a small candidate could really win the hearts and minds of America.
I'm undecided about Dean, but I think maybe he has a point about party caucuses. They're a relic of the 19th century. Unlike primaries, where the rank and file can vote, caucuses are just glorified back-room meetings of party big-shots.
