Surviving Whole Foods

It's Huff Po, but give a read anyways.

The first thing I see is the great wall of kombucha -- 42 different kinds of rotten tea. Fun fact: the word kombucha is Japanese for 'I gizzed in your tea.' Anyone who's ever swallowed the glob of mucus at the end of the bottle knows exactly what I'm talking about. I believe this thing is called "The Mother," which makes it that much creepier.

I <3 Whole Foods. That's the only date that would be better than golf, for my beau to take me grocery shopping at WF and have lunch at the hot bar. :swoon:

The hot bar's great for grabbing something good for dinner at work, but overall I think that Whole Foods is filthy and they usually smell bad. I like the cheese deli and the bakery, too, though judging how nasty the store is, I probably wouldn't buy anything from the bakery.

For selection, I like Trader Joe's better; and the employees there are super nice - I just wish they had a hot food bar like WF does.

The WF in Annapolis is immaculate. That's part of the attraction: this Disneyland of produce, cheese, and meat in an impossibly clean setting.

The same cannot be said about Bethesda and two in DC and I didn't like the one in Springfield, VA. I've never been to the one in Annapolis.
