PGPD Suspect in Custody for November 2021 Fatal Shooting in the Town of University Park

The Prince George’s County Police Department located and arrested the suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in the Town of University Park in November 2021. On January 19, 2022, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service led Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF), Aguilar was arrested and taken into custody in Washington, DC. The preliminary investigation revealed that he shot the victim during a drug-related robbery. Aguilar is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is currently in custody in Washington, DC, pending extradition to Prince George’s County.

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides that occur in the Town of University Park.
