Suspicious Person

So I'm coming home from work and as I'm walking up to my building I see this weird looking guy stumble across the street and slowly walk into the lobby. I come in behind him, and kind of keep an eye on him as I check my mail. Well, he stumbles down the hallway, looks around, and stumbles back towards the lobby.

Right when I go to get on the elevator, he stumbles towards me and tries to get on as well. Well, I pretend to go through my mail and then walk back towards the main entrance. He goes, "Ma'am, don't you want to get on the elevator?" and I said, "No thanks," and quickly go up to the front desk/security.

I told the security guy that there's some weirdo roaming the building (never mind that we have key-card access and he just WALKED IN) and the guard goes back through the security camera's video, finds the guy, looks at me, and says "Oh yeah, he lives here. His name is Carl [name changed to protect the innocent]."

It's really nice to know I have some weird-azz freak stumbling around my building and he's my neighbor!!! I guess it could be worse--he could live on my floor. :lmao:

Ya never know - he might. :twitch: That's why I am always happy to go home to my dawg. He sure does sound mean when strangers get too close to my door.

We don't have those problems (not much) here in suburbia....watch out for yourself and be very careful! We love ya here.

I actually have only lived in the city for a year. Before that, I was a suburban girl. I'm just glad my "freak azz" radar went off and I didn't get in the elevator with him.

Just because he lives there doesn't mean he's not dangerous. Even rapists have homes.

Understood, and believe me, just by the looks of him and the way he was acting, I would NEVER get in an elevator with him alone.

I'm glad you were observant enough to notice what's going on around you and thoughtful enough to have reacted quickly. Had you gotten on the elevator, the least that could have happened is let him know on what floor to look for you. We can all imagine what the worst could have been.
