Excellent movie!!! One of Johnny's best! I was hooked from the start, it was quite gruesome, not something for the squeamish!

Okay, we like Johnny Depp, but have heard Sweeny Todd is a musical. Hubby hates musicals. In your opinion, was it really a musical like The Sound of Music or just a movie with some music in it? Just trying to figure out whether or not to buy it! TIA

Yes it's a musical, but none like I have ever sat (slept) through!

It was good, and beautifully done...

But Stephen Sondheim is one depraved individual because that was the most gruesome and horrifying thing I have ever actually sat down to watch.

Ya can't go wrong with Tim Burton films that star Johnny Depp... there hasn't been one bad one.

Speaking of Tim Burton, I haven't seen any films but I remember my son (now 9y/o) thought I was nuts for even thinking he might be remotely interested in watching Corpse Bride, and The Night Before Christmas forget it.

My 2 year old wasn't crazy about Nightmare Before Christmas (but it's one of my favorite movies), however he LOVES Corpse Bride.

I thought at first it was a musical version of Edward Scissor Hands. They kind of have the same makeup and darkness . Since Rev. Slotted recommended the movie I will put it on my netflix list. Has anyone seen American Gangster? It came yesterday - is it worth watching????
