No, it's been closed for awhile. I thought there was housing going up there or something but I could be wrong.

Dang I thought I heard last year that it had reopened with all new stuff, but I haven't heard anything since.

No. There are about 200 H.U.D. townhomes going up.

Heard the same thing - actually about a LOT of land back there going all the way to the end of Joy Chapel. I always breathe a sigh of relief when I see the land being used for crops again. But I have read stuff about lower cost housing there for quite some time now. Just hasn't happened yet.

There are new batting cages just south of Prince Frederick on Route 4 (across from PF VFD).

My parents' property is adjacent to the former Swing N' Swat property. They are definently putting up HUD housing there. My parents are currently researching other places to live. :yay:

I took my son up to R & J's a few weeks ago. It wasn't bad. They have not completed everything yet. The batting cages are nice. They have cages for softball and hardball. The speeds are slow, medium and fast. The cost was $5 for 3 tokens and with each token you get 15 balls. Pretty reasonable I thought. The miniature golf was open but the bumper boats were not. I plan on taking my son again.

Thats a real smart thing to do with bars right there :sarcasm:
Judging by the last few times that I went to Dew Drop, it will just increase their business on weekend nights. Now, Toot's, that another thing. Toot's will not be that welcoming.

No, Dew Drop cant take many more thugs, they already have a hard enough time controling the maggots they got now...I dont think they want more...

As for Toots, most people(thuglets) get the hint its a country bar, and that will never change, so they leave and stay away...

I wouldn't be selling out too soon, isn't there a problem with school seats in that area???

By time the project is complete, they'll have the school situation taken care of.

Maybe they had their future tenants' convenience in mind when they picked the location

The area really doesn't matter, it's a question of available seats countywide. Don't ask me how it works, but that is the way the school board and the bocc figure it out. With the closure of the two trailer parks in Lexington Park, there may end up being a loophole that Joe St.Clair could exploit.
